The Luxe 1BR | Modern Apt

My experience with this host: I am ready to check-in for a 5-month stay later that day (with my dog and child). I receive a call from a blocked number from someone other than the host to say the property is unavailable due to “plumbing” that will take “several days” but they have another unit free. I hung up and said I’m contacting the host directly. Simon confirms and shares a google drive of photos for the alternative property. It’s a subpar unit compared to what I chose to stay in with my child and dog. I say I want to check in to the place I reserved when the plumbing is done in several days, as was communicated to me by the host and the blocked caller. He then says okay but it could take several weeks. This is apparently a classic Airbnb scam. I’m surprised this person is listed as a super host and engages in this behavior. Very unlikely someone would just find out the morning of that there’s a big plumbing issue and have a random person call from a blocked number to notify.
